2016 - "The Holy Rosary Catholic Church complex contains a church [80682], rectory [232936], convent [73205], and elementary school [232937], and occupies a city block bounded by East Mary Street, East Harriet Street, Wells Street, and Main Street.
The rectory (AHI No. 232936) was constructed in 1905. This two-and-one-half-story frame building has an irregular rectangular plan and rests on a stone foundation. The rectory has muted features that reflect the Queen Anne style of architecture, as seen in the massing, roofline, and fenestration pattern. The gable-on-hip roof is covered in asphalt shingles and features a Palladian window in the gable end on the main (south) facade and an arched window on the side (west) elevation. A gable-front porch on the main (south) facade features a simple frieze and classical columns, and the main entrance has a transom. The walls are clad in vinyl siding. The main (south) facade and the side (west) elevation feature two-story bays with cutaway windows. Other fenestration includes wood, one-over-two, fixed-sash windows; aluminum, one-over-one, double-hung, sash windows; and vinyl, one-by-one, sliding sash windows, all with simple wood surrounds. A one-story addition extends from the east corner of the main (south) facade and connects to the church building."
