Additional Information: | 2016- "This two-story vernacular house was constructed c.1910. It is of frame construction, sheathed in clapboard, with a rusticated concrete block foundation. Asphalt singles cover the roof, which is irregular in form with a hip roof cap, cross gables with scalloped shingles in the gable ends, and an integrated square turret with flared eaves and brackets. Fenestration consists of mostly one-over-one, double-hung, replacement sash with some original leaded glass including a transom on the front (east) facade; windows are set in original wood surrounds and first-story windows on the facade and side (south) elevation feature peaked hoods. A one-story entry portico is capped by a front gable roof with square supports. A c.1950 one-story gable roof addition extends from the rear (west) elevation of the house. Just west of the house is a detached c.1970 cross-gable shed and garage." -"STH 22: STH 16-CTH CM/Barry Rd", WisDOT#6050-00-01, Prepared by Mead & Hunt, Inc. (2016). |
