NOTES
Additional Information:2016- "The Kiefer Brothers Creamery was constructed in 1897.(1) It is two stories tall, clad in stone covered in stucco, and its foundation is not visible. The metal cross-gable roof displays a central chimney and vinyl soffits. Windows are a combination of original, two-over-two, double-hung sash and replacement, one-over-one, double-hung sash; they are evenly spaced along the front (west) facade and side (north and south) elevations. One window on the south elevation is filled in with glass block. A c.1930 shed-roof porch extends from the south elevation, while a c.1940 enclosed vestibule clad in vinyl siding is situated on the south side of the facade. A large, modern, two-story addition with vertical metal siding extends from the north elevation.

According to the property owner, this building housed a creamery that was founded in 1897. The surrounding area was known as Kieferville for the owners of the creamery and the building, in addition to its industrial usage, served as a social center with a dance hall located upstairs. In the mid-twentieth century ownership transferred to Jacob Bolzinger and the property became a cheese factory. The current owner bought the building from Jacob’s son Walter and uses it as a residence.(2)"
