Additional Information: | The Elmbrook Baptist Church originated in 1957 and built a Sunday school at this location in 1961. At the time, the congregation had 47 members and 85 Sunday school enrollees. The congregation added the sanctuary in 1967 and dropped its Baptist affiliation a year later. Elmbrook had moved to larger quarters by 1972 and the building is not cited again in city directories as a place of worship until 1982 when the Church of Christian Liberty is listed under the direction of Pastor Dale Dykema. The name of Dykema’s congregation changed to Reformed Bible Church (1985) and then Reformation Presbyterian Church (1987) before moving to new quarters sometime between 1989 and 1992. In 1996, the building was home to the New Creation Christian Fellowship. Today, it is home of the Sikh Religious Society of Wisconsin. |
