NOTES
Additional Information:This c.1925, one-and-a-half-story house with minimal Craftsman details is of frame construction sheathed in vinyl siding, with a rectangular plan on a poured concrete foundation. The side-gable roof has clipped gables and decorative brackets and is covered with asphalt shingles. It features an interior brick chimney at the center of the roof ridgeline. The front (south) facade features a central entrance flanked by sidelights with a brick stoop sheltered by a gable pediment supported by brackets. Most of the windows are original, 3- and 4-over-1, wood, double-hung sash. A one-story ell on the west elevation features a shed roof and original, three-over-one, wood, double-hung sash windows. The rear (north) elevation features a large, shed-roof dormer. Research did not reveal any information or the original owner of the house. A modern detached two-car garage is located at the rear of the lot.
Bibliographic References:Building permit published in the Green Bay Press Gazette on 21 September 1935, page 5; est. cost, $3,500, Pauwels owner. They are confirmed as living in the house as of the 1937 Green Bay City Directory.
