Bibliographic References:Assessor's records cite a 1924 date of construction; however, the house is not listed in the city directory as of 1927 and is noted as vacant in 1929. Newspapers indicate that Ruth G. Miller purchased the property in 1926; however, she was an employee of Scharbau and there is no evidence of her ever residing in the home. By 1930, however, the house was owned by Hobart and Ellen Edmonds (per the 1930 census and 1931 city directory).
