Additional Information: | 2018 - This brick former service station was constructed c.1920. The footprint was enlarged c.1940 with a concrete block garage addition. The building currently functions as a restaurant. The c.1920 portion faces northeast toward the intersection of STH 170/1st Street and Oak Street. It has a simple, box-like form with a façade consisting of a central door flanked on each side by a window. A modern canopy is located between the building and intersection, detached from the building. There are no pumps or remnants of a pump island. The addition is located on the south side of the building. The garage door has been removed and the opening now includes a pair of doors with sidelights and transoms. |
