Additional Information: | This building stands on the historic Mike Hensgen farmstead. While the house and two small outbuildings stand in Section 9, this and most of the farm buildings stand in Section 10. The corn crib was built in 1950. Its north wall has a shed-roof extension with concrete walls that is incorporated with the adjacent garage and apartments. It stands on concrete piers and has gapped wood lap siding and a front-gable roof. There is a central aisle with storage space on either side. On front, there is no central door, but each side aisle has a wood door that matches the cladding pattern. Half of a wood sliding door has been retained at the back central entry. This building is not individually eligible. The farmstead as a whole is also recommended not eligible for listing in the NRHP. |
