Additional Information: | Surveyed 2020 by HRL for an Amtrak Project.... Oriented on a north/south axis and immediately west of the Rose Street Viaduct over the Canadian Pacific Railroad tracks, this is a small, one-story structure constructed of rusticated concrete blocks and sheltered with a standing seam metal, gable-on-hip roof. The truncated gabled peaks are sheathed with metal sheets embellished with a brick-like pattern. A single door is at the south end of the east side wall, to the right (north) of which is a large window as is a large single window centered on the south endwall. A series of seven, small windows are regularly placed on the west side wall. All windows have heavy concrete sills. Notably associated with the windows on the west wall is a heavy head that extends the length of the building. The building was the 15th Ward voting location from 1922 to 1968. |
