NOTES
Additional Information:Surveyed in July 2020 by UWM-CRM as part of the WisDOT USH 63 reconstruction project.

The First Lutheran Church was constructed in 1961. The building is cruciform in plan, with a steeply-pitched cross gabled roof. The building is clad in buff brick, and the north (sanctuary) wall is clad in random ashlar stone with a large stone cross incorporated into the surrounding coursing. The building has a standing seam metal roof with wood eaves and exposed beams. A small entry bay is located in the northwest crook of the building; this entry bay is clad in random ashlar stone and has a projecting entry vestibule with aluminum-framed window walls. A square spire is located next to the entry bay. The spire consists of a square battered brick tower; at the top of the north and west faces of the tower, fifteen small concrete panels are set into the brickwork in a gridded pattern. The tower is capped with a polygonal metal spire which tapers as it rises. The entire spire is topped with a thin metal cross. Fenestration consists of aluminum-framed fixed light windows.
