Additional Information: | 01/2021: The property includes an altered ca. 1940 gambrel basement barn (a), two ca. 1975 silos (b and c), and a ca. 1975 smaller gabled-roof pole barn (d) associated with a non-historic-age dwelling and shed. The gambrel-roofed basement barn (a) features a metal roof, vertical wood cladding, much of which is missing from the rear elevation, a raised masonry foundation, and a large gabled addition across the primary façade with an overhead garage door and sliding wooden barn door. A pair of concrete stave silos (b and c) are located between the main barn and secondary pole barns. The gabled pole barn (d) features corrugated metal cladding, a large bay opening with a sliding door on the primary façade, and two rear bay openings. Details of the rear elevation were not visible from the public ROW, but it appears to feature open bays. Historic aerial imagery research revealed the basement barn (a) is visible on the 1955 aerial and 1962 Stitzer quadrangle in association with a no-longer-extant dwelling (NETR 2020; USGS 1962). Resources b-d are visible on the 1982 aerial (NETR 2020). |
