NOTES
Additional Information:Surveyed 2020: The original, center part of this gas/service station was constructed sometime prior to 1938 – likely in the early 1930s. It is oriented on an east/west axis and situated on the northside of E. North Water Street facing south. To the right (east) of the structure is a two bay, supplemental garage sheathed with enamel panels. To the left (west) is a post-1971 addition.

Oriented on an east/west axis, the center component of this light-colored, brick-sheathed structure is a one-story rectangle with three garage doors to the right (east) and an office section with a slightly higher roofline to the left (west). That latter section claims a pedestrian door at its right (east) side, to the left of which are four long, narrow, single pane windows to the left of which is a wider, two-pane window. The only embellishment is two courses of red brick stretchers laid vertically that extend the length of the building. They are separated by seven courses of the light-colored brick and tied together by three, evenly spaced columns of red brick. The two bay, supplemental garage to the right is oriented on a north/south axis. It rises from a concrete block foundation and is sheathed with enameled panel siding. Its two garage doors are set in the south endwall while the west sidewall is notable for its two, symmetrically placed, rectangular, sixteen-light windows. The post-1971 addition to the west extends the building’s overall length to the back of the sidewalk on the east side of Pearl Street. Described east to west, this component of the structure claims a modern pedestrian door and transom at its far right side, to the left of which is a large window with two panes. Next is the long, canted corner with two sets of the large, two-pane windows. The structure’s narrow west side (due to the canted corner) has one unit of the two-light windows. All of the windows on this section appear to have concrete sills.
