Additional Information: | This one-story ranch house with hipped roof was built on the east side of CTH N in 1950. The house exhibits typical features of the ranch style, including its rectangular plan and low-pitched roof with wide eaves. The asymmetrical front elevation has three bays, with the front door being set in the central bay. A small concrete and brick stoop is set in front of the entrance, which is slightly recessed. One side bay has two sash windows, while the other has a band of three sash windows. The house is clad in red brick veneer and has a prominent stone-clad end-wall chimney. The windows are modern replacements and have brick sills. The house has an asphalt shingle roof; the foundation was not visible. The detached frame garage was built with the house; it shares the same cladding and roofline of the house. |
