NOTES
Additional Information:This Contemporary church building (St. Jacobi Lutheran Church) was constructed in 1979 with a substantial addition in 2020. It is rectangular in plan with brown brick walls and a steeply-pitched asphalt-shingled roof arranged in three distinct “telescoping” sections with shingling in the gable ends. The northwest elevation (facing W. Forest Home Ave.) contains two brick buttresses near the center of the elevation with narrow, vertical bands of stained glass between these. Additional buttresses flank the side elevations at regular intervals. A large addition, constructed in 2020, is set back along the northeast elevation and spans the majority of the southeast elevation. The entrance to the building is located in the southeast elevation, facing a large parking lot. A freestanding bell tower is located in the front lawn of the church.
