Additional Information: | 2021 - This is the west north-south building, one of four near identical buildings of this apartment complex. This 2-story Contemporary apartment complex was constructed c.1965. The complex consists of four buildings: two parallel masses running along a north-south axis, a mass to the north of these running along an east-west axis, and a smaller mass running along a north-south axis at the northeastern corner of the property. All building are of buff-colored brick construction and have flat roofs with widely overhanging eaves. The primary elevations face inward toward a central greenspace that features a serpentine concrete sidewalk that runs the length of the green. First stories along this elevation contain banks of three sliding windows adjacent to recessed patios with sliding glass doors; second stories contain banks of three sliding windows adjacent to recessed balconies with sliding glass doors and metal railings. These elements are arranged along the building’s length in a regular pattern. Primary entrances are located in the opposite elevation where concrete sidewalks provide access to doors at the base of full-height window walls. Pairs of horizontally oriented sliding windows are located along these elevations at regular intervals. |
