Additional Information: | This 2-story American Foursquare house was constructed c.1910. It is rectangular in plan with brick walls and an asphalt-shingled hipped roof with widely overhanging eaves and exposed rafters. The front elevation faces north and is asymmetrical in composition due to an off-center entry. A 1-story enclosed porch spans the width of the façade; this features a hipped roof with widely overhanging eaves and exposed rafter ends, squared brick piers at both front corners, and large banks of fixed-sash windows on both sides of a modern storm door. A set of concrete steps with brick sidewalls provides access to the front door. The second story of the façade contains a diminutive multi-over-1 window with leaded glass upper sash at the center of the elevation and larger pairs of multi-over-1 windows with leaded glass upper sashes on each side. A hipped roof dormer with flared eaves and exposed rafter ends projects from the front and side roof slopes; the dormers contain banks of four multi-over-1 windows with leaded glass upper sashes. |
