NOTES
Additional Information:A dam across the Pecatonica River was constructed in 1824 as part of an early mill at this location. When Wisconsin Power & Light erected the neighboring power house in about 1920, the company likely rebuilt the dam to its specifications. The dam was transferred to the Village of Blanchardville in 1952. In turn, the Village made significant repairs to the structure in the late 1990s following heavy flooding in 1993. The dam measures approximately 75 feet in length and features low concrete abutments at each end.
