Additional Information: | This 2-story Commercial Vernacular building was constructed c.1908 and served as a jewelry store. It is rectangular in plan with brick walls and a flat roof. The front elevation faces east and is asymmetrical in composition due to uneven fenestration at both stories. At the first story, the historic storefront has been altered via the application of a new brick façade (contrasting with the original brick) containing very small single-pane windows and a recessed entrance. North of this is a second recess containing a door with overhead transom serving the staircase leading to the second floor residence. The second story of the primary façade contains two large window openings that have been infilled with composition board siding and downsized 1-over-1 windows of differing sizes. A patterned brick cornice spans the façade. |
