| Additional Information: | This 1-story Contemporary building was constructed in 1946 and initially served as a bowling alley. It is rectangular in plan with a stone veneered facade (and concrete block side walls) and a flat roof. The front elevation faces west and is asymmetrical in composition with a central doorway. Metal cladding surrounds the entrance. On each side of this is a picture window flanked by 1-over-1 windows. A single-pane window is located at the northern end of the façade with metal cladding on the surrounding wall. A large metal parapet and awning spans the width of the façade above the storefront; this was added within the last 10 years as a replacement for a similar element. The building currently serves as the office of the Blanchardville Co-Op Oil Association. |
