Additional Information: | This 2-story Queen Anne house was constructed in 1905. It is rectangular in plan with a stone foundation, an aluminum sided and wood shingled exterior, and a steeply-pitched, asphalt-shingled hipped roof with large, projecting gables on each side. A 1-story, circular gazebo-style porch at the building’s east corner serves as the primary entrance. The porch is enclosed with rows of 1-over-1 windows and a central multi-pane glazed door. Although the circular porch is original to the building, the current porch stairs and entry platform (which features a decorative metal railing) were added c.2015. The first story of the building is clad in aluminum siding; south of the porch, the first story contains a large picture window (added as a replacement for an earlier bank of three 1-over-1 windows), and a 1-story addition (constructed c.2015) that projects from the southwest elevation and contains a secondary entrance and two 1-over-1 windows. North of the porch, the first story contains a small, square, leaded-glass window, a pair of 1-over-1 windows with a horizontally-oriented single-pane window above (this is a recent addition), and a small pair of sliding windows. The second story of the house is clad in wood shingle and features flared walls at the junction of the first and second stories. Various combinations of 1-over-1 windows are located at the second story in each elevation. A 1-story, gable-roofed rear entry bay projects from the northwest elevation; this was constructed c.2015 as a replacement for an original, hipped-roof rear entry bay. |
