NOTES
Additional Information:"2023- surveyed as part of Milwaukee Houses of Worship thematic survey.

The Islamic Foundation of Greater Milwaukee was organized in 1976 and initially held holiday prayers, public lectures, and dinners in various locations. In 1982, the Foundation purchased a former public school building (the New Road School, built in 1921 for the Town of Lake and annexed into the Milwaukee Public School system in 1954) to serve as educational and worship space. The former school was expanded in 1995 with the addition of a large prayer hall, a prayer balcony, a large multipurpose rooms, and other service areas. A second expansion in 2001 added additional classrooms and a gymnasium."
