Additional Information: | 2023: The W.H. Sharp Farmstead consists of a house (7287), milk house/springhouse (245587), basement barn (245588), agricultural outbuilding (245589), machine shed or garage (245590), and a pole building (245591). The five ancillary buildings that are north and west of the residence. The milk house/springhouse, basement barn, and agricultural outbuilding are north of the residence across the drive and are placed around the livestock pen. The machine shed and pole building are east of (behind) the residence and the basement barn. The agricultural outbuilding is a one-story, gabled building constructed circa 1950. It stands at the north boundary of the livestock pen with a longitudinal axis that is perpendicular to basement barn and Hi-Lo Drive. The foundation is poured concrete, and the walls are vertical wood board. The narrow eaves are closed with wood soffit and fascia; the roof is clad in asphalt shingle. Large sliding hay doors or vehicular doors are in the south elevation facing the livestock pen. A pedestrian entrance is in the east elevation. |
