NOTES
Additional Information:This 1-story Contemporary building was constructed in 1956. It is rectangular in plan with concrete block walls and a flat roof. The front elevation faces north and is asymmetrical in composition with a cutaway eastern corner where a metal-framed glass door serves as the primary entrance. A flat canopy projects across the façade of the building and is supported by a metal post at the cutaway corner and by a brick pier at the opposite (western) end. Below the canopy, the front façade contains large banks of shop windows with brick veneered bulkhead and end walls. A secondary entrance at the west end of the façade consists of a pair of metal-framed glass doors. Individual internally-illuminated square letter signs are mounted to the face of the building above the canopy and partly project above the roofline; together, the signs read “CLEANERS” and another internally-illuminated sign above this reads “Globe Dry Cleaning / Self-Serve Laundromat.”
