Additional Information: | 2023: Structure B-17-0951 is four-span, Warren deck truss bridge constructed of riveted steel in 1935, carrying two lanes of traffic on CTH BB over Tainter Lake in the Town of Red Cedar, Dunn County. It is located just south of the Cedar Lake Hydroelectric Project. The bridge is a total of 431 feet long, with two middle spans measuring 145 feet in length and two 65-foot spans on either end connecting to the approaches. The concrete deck, reconstructed and widened in 1992, measures 32 feet wide with steel railings. The steel truss below the decking is a variation on the Warren Truss commonly known as a Warren truss with verticals, as vertical steel members bisect the equilateral triangles on the top and bottom chords. Both pilings and abutments are reinforced concrete, with stone rip rap along the east and west embankments. CTH BB carries moderately high levels of traffic over the waterway. |
