NOTES
Additional Information:Surveyed 2023 by HRL -- This is a collection of six similar apartment buildings, all constructed between 1958 and 1960. The six buildings were erected by George Langenhuizen, a Kimberly-area builder, and his Langenhuizen Construction Company. The general integrity of the structures appears good in that they seem little changed since built. Each resource would not be considered surveyable in its own right given the generic design and method of construction, quoining on either side of the primary entrance notwithstanding. But taken together, as a group, they merit including in the survey. Additionally was this complex a proto-type used by Langenhuizen to attract investors and owners that wanted similar buildings or complexes constructed as investments (see Images for copy of such an advertisement). Note that this was originally a six building complex, all of which remain today. The structure to the far north, however, has been resheathed and has a solar panel on the roof. It is considered non-contributing. An example of such buildings constructed for an investor is also found in Kimberly, on the east side of Marcella Street, south of Kimberly Avenue. The AHI numbers for each of those buildings is AHI #245954, AHI #245955, AHI #245956, AHI #245957, AHI #245958, AHI #245959 & AHI #245960.
