Additional Information: | 2023: The Rauh Homestead consists of a house, barn, and four outbuildings. The c.1870, one-and-one-half-story farmhouse (AHI No. 245998) is clad in vinyl siding and has an asphalt-shingle, cross-gable roof. It has T-shape plan on a foundation that is not visible and is clad in a stone veneer. A partial-width, hip-roof porch with wood columns shelters the front (east) facade entry. An attached two-car garage addition is located on the side (south) elevation along with a secondary porch. Fenestration includes replacement, vinyl, one-over-one, single-hung sash and casement windows. A modern stone stamped with “Rauh Homestead” is located on the Charolais Drive median to the west of the property. Charolais Drive provides access to a modern residential subdivision that likely replaced the homestead’s original agricultural land. |
