Additional Information: | 2023: The Snowflake Ski and Golf Club is in Timber Coulee on County Road P north of Westby. As of 2023, the ski and golf club consists of two ski jumps hills (72582 and 246163), a nine-hole golf course (246164), a clubhouse (246165), and three concession/service buildings. The Snowflake Ski Club originated in 1922 and hosted ski jumping tournaments at three previous locations before purchasing lands from the Eugene Volden farmstead at its present location in 1960. Based on aerial imagery, the three concession and service buildings west of County Road P and at the base of the ski jump hills were constructed circa 1964 and 1981 and precede the golf course. Based on aerial imagery and review of La Crosse Tribune newspaper archives, the nine-hole golf course (246164) was constructed at the base of the ski jump hills circa 1990. |
