Additional Information: | This 1-story Contemporary house was constructed c.1965 and sits atop a sloping lot facing Fremont Street. It is rectangular in plan with Roman brick walls and an asphalt-shingled hipped roof with widely overhanging eaves. The front elevation faces south and is dominated by a projecting center bay with a prow roof. Both angled front walls of the projecting bay feature banks of four large, single-pane windows with Roman brick bulkhead walls below and vertical board walls above. West of the center bay is a single front door sheltered under a flat roof that projects from the main roofline; this projection is supported by a turned wood post. West of the front door is a glass block window; west of this is a larger single-pane window with a louvered panel below. On the east side of the center bay is a pair of sliding glass doors that provide access to a large deck that sits on the roof of a garage that is recessed into the slope of the lot; the exposed front (south) wall of the garage is clad in stone veneer and features a newer overhead garage door. A wide chimney clad in Roman brick projects from the roof peak at the north end of the front bay. |
