Additional Information: | This house stands on the south side of N. Biron Drive and is the only extant house on the block bounded by Biron, Bear Street, Elk Street, and the alley. It has been depicted in aerial photographs since at least 1957. Assessor records confirm it was built in 1920. The 2-story house has undergone several alterations and additions that have severely impacted its integrity of design, workmanship, and materials. The front-gable portion of the house is original, as is the full-width enclosed porch across its façade. The fenestration on the second floor has been altered; at least one window on the front and all along the east side have been covered over. A 1.5 story side-gable bay addition is set on the west side of the house; its concrete base is exposed. The entire remainder of the house is clad in synthetic lap siding and fascia runs beneath the intersecting asphalt shingle rooflines. All windows and doors are modern, synthetic materials. |
