Additional Information: | 2023 - In 1970, the City of Reedsburg began a building campaign to replace or add new facilities for the city government including a new city hall, police station, and fire station. The older buildings were from the turn of the century and demolished. One example of this was the old fire station south of Main Street, constructed in 1888, that served as the city hall and offices as well. It was demolished and replaced by a large masonry fire station in 1971. Its municipal history may be a contributing factor as well. The fire station is a fine example of modern masonry design. |
