NOTES
Additional Information:2024: The Conly Farmhouse was constructed c.1875. It is a two-story, Colonial/Georgian Revival style house, with an L-shaped footprint, stone foundation, wood lap siding, and multi-gable roof sheathed in slate tiles. Characteristic details include a front door surround with pilasters and a broken pediment, wood window surrounds with simple entablatures, brick chimneys, shingled gable ends, cutaway bays with brackets, and cantilevered oriel windows. Most of the house’s windows have been replaced with one-over-one, double-hung sashes and six- or eight-paned, fixed sashes. There are also additions, including a prominent two-story addition extending from the south (rear) elevation that was constructed c. 2007. Also located on the property are a c.1910 garage building and a c.1975 garage building. The c.1910 garage building has a concrete foundation, wood siding, and side-gabled roof sheathed in asphalt shingles. It features two stalls, a pedestrian entrance, skylights, and multi-pane replacement windows with round arches. The c.1975 garage building has a concrete foundation, wood siding, six-over-six, double-hung vinyl windows, and front-gabled roof sheathed in asphalt shingles. It features one stall, accessed by an overhead door on the façade (south elevation) and there is a pedestrian door on the east (side) elevation. Based on historic maps, the Conly’s first farmhouse was constructed before 1870 and located on the west side of STH 57 (8045 N Green Bay Avenue). By 1876, the subject house was constructed, and the original farmhouse was purchased by N. Koehler.
