Additional Information: | Resurveyed March 2015; no visible changes. This Two Story Cube house was constructed c.1900. It is rectangular in plan with stucco walls and an asphalt-clad mansard roof. The front elevation faces west and is symmetrical in plan with a central front door flanked by pairs of 1- over-1 windows with 2-pane transoms. The front door is accessed via a small entry porch consisting of a concrete slab foundation and an asphalt-shingled front-gable roof with squared wood supports. Two pairs of 1-over-1 windows are located at the second story. All windows feature decorative shutters and are modern replacements. A pent awning roof spans the front fagade between the first and second stories. The building is in fair condition, but retains only a low-to-moderate degree of integrity due to the replacement of all visible windows and the reconstruction of the front porch. In addition, as a Two Story Cube vernacular building, the house does not possess an especially high degree of architectural interest or distinction. |
