NOTES
Additional Information:SOME BUILDINGS ON THIS FARM CONSTRUCTED OF LOG AND STOVEWOOD

2012- "All of the buildings on this property are heavily obscured by trees. The buildings could not be accessed during the survey.
Based on county-provided aerial photos, the farmstead appears to contain an L-shaped barn, a Gabled Ell farmhouse,
and a shed. A 1975 AHI photo of the shed, identified as a barn in WHPD, shows an end-gabled building with a shed-
roofed addition projecting from one side. The building is clad in vertical boards and has a composite shingle roof.
Research indicates that the oldest portion of the house was constructed in 1860 by August Darn. Around 1898, Dorn
constructed a stovewood addition to the house, as well as a stovewood barn and smokehouse. Dorn also constructed
portions of the NRHP-listed William Zachow Farm for his daughter and son-in-law."
