WOOD SHINGLED CANOPY W/GABLETS OVER SIDEWALK. The Hotel Stebbins was originally built by Captain Charles Fellows in 1858 and named the Ahnapee House. In 1905, the three-story brick portion of the building was constructed, and the original wooden structure was moved to the northern edge of the lot where it still serves as the hotel's kitchen and dining room. At that time the name was changed to Hotel Stebbins in honor of DeWayne Stebbins, early pioneer and state senator. |
