Additional Information: | 2 COLOSSAL IONIC COLUMNS SUPPORTING PEDIMENT STEPPED FALSE FRONT BEHIND PEDIMENT PALLADIAN WINDOWS AND BALUSTRADE ON SIDE The Bank of Algoma merged with the Citizen's Bank in 1933 at the height of the Great Depression. The Algoma City Hall occupied the building from the mid-1930s until 1974. The upper floor was home to the Algoma Public Library at various times between 1921 and 1974. The interior retains much of its original marble detailing. |
