After teaching at a rural Kewaunee Co. school, he and his brother started an agricultural implements business in the city of Kewaunee. They later expanded to Ahnapee and Sturgeon Bay. In 1889, he married Laura Grimmer. She was the daughter of prominent citizen George Grimmer. Laura continued to own this house until the 1940s. |
