Additional Information: | A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation-Public History. Previously surveyed in 1986 with map code 225. No map name given. Resurveyed as part of Milwaukee Downtown Connector Arch/History Survey (2010), Prepared by Heritage Research. The Catalano Building (formerly the William Mieller repair shop) is a one-story brick structure built in 1908. Clearly designed as a utilitarian, infill structure the building maintains frontage on both N. Farwell and East Brady Street. The Farwell Avenue elevation is detailed with a simple metal box cornice supported on wood brackets. Two large service openings dominate the elevation. |
