Resurveyed November 2012; since 1989, the basement windows along the north elevation have been boarded up. August 2016: No changes. This 1-story Front Gabled schoolhouse was constructed in 1867. It is rectangular in plan with a stone block foundation, clapboard walls, and an asphalt-shingled gable roof. The front elevation faces west and is asymmetrical in plan due to a side-facing stoop that provides access to the central front door. The paneled door has a three-pane transom above. A three-pane window is located in the base of the front stoop, along with a metal coal chute door. A wooden bell house with louvered side panels is located on the roof peak near the rear elevation. Three 4-over-4 windows are located on each side elevation. August 2019: Appearance unchanged. |
