Tadeusz Kosciuszko was a colonel in George Washington's army during the Revolutionary War. He was later made a Brigadier General. Originally installed at Kosciuszko Park's Becher St entrance, this monument was moved to the other side of the park in 1951 by the Milwaukee County Parks Department. Reportedly Milwaukee's first equestrian statue, 60,000 people attended the unveiling ceremony in 1905. |
