Additional Information: | This two-story, commercial, vernacular building, historically City Hall, was constructed c.1905. It is of concrete-block construction with a rectangular plan on a concrete-block foundation. The flat roof is ornamented with metal coping at the roofline and brackets along the front (northwest) facade eave. The two first-story windows are original, two-over-two, double-hung sash with concrete lintels and sills. Second-story facade windows are replacement, one-over-one, double-hung sash with concrete lintels and sills. The sole second-story side (northeast) elevation window is a small, square, fixed sash with a concrete lintel and sill. A centered, wooden, nine-light entryway door marks the facade and a similar second entry is found on the side (northeast) elevation. A wooden sign above the entryway on the facade reads, “1902- Eagle Telephone Company -1930.” |
