It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. TO BE MOVED TO THE PINECREST HISTORICAL VILLAGE. MRS. FRANCES RANK WAS A SEAMSTRESS. THE BUILDING HOUSED A PLUMBING BUSINESS FROM 1908-1969 WHEN IT BECAME A REALTY OFFICE. THE BUILDING HAS 2 LATER REAR ADDITIONS. A simple one story frame commercial building in the boomtown style. It is plain in ornamentation other than a row of dentils at the cornice. The first floor store front is intact. This is the best example of a small, intact store front of the boomtown style in the Eighth Street District. This small one-story building (c.1897s) with a boom-town facade was donated by the Capitol Civic Centre and moved to Pinecrest Historical Village in 1994. The building was restored at the outdoor interpretive museum operated by the Manitowoc County Historical Society and opened for public viewing in 1998. The former building site is now a downtown parking lot.
