NOTES
Additional Information:This Queen Anne style house, although somewhat more angular, follows the design of the Park House at 415 McCall Street. The steep slope of the gable roof is oriened to the street and interruped only by a corner tower and a small dormer. The dormer is covered by a gable with the eave line continuing to form a pediment. Scroll sawn ornament fills the tympanum area. The corner tower stands two full stories and is, like the remainder of the house, covered with clapboards. Although the house appears narrow, it is fairly long and the steep roof accomodates a second floor level as well as an attic. The residence is in good condition. It was owned in 1982 by James H. and Jean B. McLaughlin. A carriage house is a related structure (WK 80/21). This house is architecturally significant because it represents a type, period or method of construction. Other map codes include District Map 80/20, McCall Street Historic District Map 36/25 and Map "B". Historical Statement: Franklin C. Buchan is listed as an electrician in the Waukesha City Directires of the period. [A].
