Additional Information: | This two story gabled ell house features an L-shaped plan configuration, a fieldstone foundation, a brick exterior, a brick trim and a metal multi-gable roof. Moulded frieze boards distinguish the eave line of the two story front gabled portion of the house. The ell rises one story and lacks the wide overhaning eaves of its larger, two story counterpart. Yet, this ell has a decorative brick cornice and raised brick eave returns - elements unique to the ell. The windows throughout the dwelling have one-over-one panes and are set within segmental arched openings. The lintels of these windows are also segmentally arched and the sills project forward. This 1857 residence is in fair condition. (See Bib. Ref. A). |
