NOTES
Additional Information:A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. This two story Tudor Revival styled house was designed by S. A. Synder and built in 1930 by E. C. Remer. [A]. It features an ell shaped plan configuration, a brick foundation and exterior, a wood trim and an asphalt shingled gable and jerkinhead roof. A round entrance turret, capped by a conical roof, contains a round arched doorway accented by stone. A balcony over the entrance matches the front fence. Rough bricks surround the windows, and projecting sills are a common theme. Leaded glass, a semicircular transom and a molded cornice are other architectural elements. The residence is in good condition. A related building is a garage, built in 1935. [B]. Theo. C. Thompson was a sales manager for the Thompson's Malted Milk Co. The Scharnott family bought the house in 1989. Robert and Virginia Beibel owned the house in 1986.
