Additional Information: | Unusual large vernacular apartment complex on a cut stone foundation. Originally, this complex consisted of two large gable roofed houses (1008 and 1012), both built in 1904. In 1946, the houses were joined by a short gable roofed hyphen and expanded. The main entrance door is located at the end of the fore court in the center of the hyphen, and has a pedimented entrance. The westerly (1008) house has an open gable and facing the front with the second floor windows having pointed arched muntins. This building has a polygonal hip roofed dormer facing west above a two story tall enclosed stairway which is a later addition. The easterly (1012) house has a closed gable end facing the front (117/15) having a deeply inset gable end. There are exposed purlin ends under all eaves. Both the original houses have been altered by their apartment conversion. #650: Large jerkinhead roofed 1A story barn behind building with shed roofed garage additions.
