Additional Information: | A 'site file' titled "Pabst Brewing Co. Brewery Complex" exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation. "The congregation of Die Erste Deutsche Bischofliche Methodisten Kirche held services here until 1896 when they moved to property on Twenty-first and Highland, purchased for them by Captain Frederick Pabst. The vacated church building was converted to a rathskeller featuring Viennese concerts. When Milwaukee's German theater was at its height, the Forst-Keller was a favorite meeting place for an after-the-theater glass of Pabst beer."
