Additional Information: | Pointed arched windows (now filled in); square entrance tower (roof removed) flanking facade; dentil and cut-brick trim around windows and belt course; small gabled transept on south side. Construction of Our Savior's Lutheran Church was begun in 1899 and completed in 1903. The church building was used for religious activities throughout its construction. Founded by Norwegian immigrants, the church conducted services and affiliated social activities in the Norwegian language during its formative years. Our Savior's Lutheran Church has moved its congregationto a new building on W. Mansfield Street. The original church is used as a meeting house for the ALAMO club. |
