Additional Information: | A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. Designed to fit the angle in the street, the two-story brick commercial structure exhibits two front facades, both characterized by corbeled moulded brick cornice with parapet and round pediments above. Round pediment shaped flat stone window heads with incised rosettes in recessed panels of upper facade; store front completely remodeled. Although the structure does not have much architectural merit, it contributes to the 19th century architectural environment of South 4th Street. See 123 South Fourth Street. These were originally the same building. |
