Additional Information: | Characterized by a polychromatic facade popular in the Victorian period, the Rehfuss red brick block has stone triangular window heads that are incorporated into a band of white stone across the facade. Features include: finial topped, seven bay recessed facade divided vertically by capped brick piers and hordered at the top by a band of moulded brick placed under the brick and metal cornice, white stone belt courses link the stone triangular shaped window heads over arched long window, store fronts have been completely altered for contemporary commercial use except for moulded brick cornice that remains. The site of the O.J. Oyen Interior Decorating Firm in the 1890s. 2017 UPDATE - BUILDING HAS HAD FIRST FLOOR FACADE RESTORED WITH CAST IRON PILLARS AND TALL GLASS WINDOWS. |
