Additional Information:Contrasting brown brick and blue and green tiles create decorative pattern in beige brick facade; gable roofed wooden door hood with bracket supports and barge-boards. Wood shingled pent roofs with brackets under the overhang. This building was constructed in 1933 and has retained its original character influenced by the Art Deco period although the facade has been altered. This property has been operated as GLORY DAYS since 1996. Distinguished sports figures that have signed the wall of fame bricks include Bart Starr, Paul Hornung, Willie Davis, Herb Adderley, Willie Wood, Jim Ringo, Dave Robinson and Mike Ditka and Archie Manning all NFL Hall of Famers and close to 100 other former player and coaches. Nearly all the Packer players from ICE BOWL and first 2 Super Bowls. The sports pub has memorabilia for football from 1874 to present including game jerseys from 1919-1939-1960s-1996 and Reggie White's Super Bowl game worn pants on display. Tickets, programs, pennants, photos, autographs, trophies, shoes, footballs etc. Many one of kind exhibits from the Packers Hall of Fame. The President of the Green Bay Packers- Bob Harlan- was interviewed for tv and he said "GLORY DAYS is the GREATEST PACKERS SPORTS bar he has ever been in." Around 2000, Glory Days expanded to the south and occupies the entire corner and parking lot. 2017 - BUILDING APPEARS SUBSTANTIALLY AS IT DID WHEN LAST SURVEYED IN 1996 EXCEPT THE BRICK PATTERN HAS BEEN PAINTED, THUS LOSING SOME OF THE BUIDLING'S ORIGINAL STYLE. 2022 - damage by a fire in the adjacent building. 2024 - WIZMNEWS.com reported that the building was designed by Otto Merman, and the building was demolished as a result of fire damage in 2022: "Glory Days Sports Pub on 4th Street, downtown, is a 90-year-old building that was once the Stokke Oil station and the William Zurn beverage store...Glory Days, originally designed by prominent La Crosse architect Otto Merman, was damaged in April of 2022 when the India Curry House next door burned down."
